The writer travels with a companion from Shrewsbury by train to Looe, and the detailed account starts from that point. He would appear to be a schoolmaster (We discovered Dr. Syntax - I wish Bob would engage him to take the Sixth Form Compositions next term, he looks very suitable.) They stay at Sennen Cove for a while and describe the rocks, coves, bathing places, tea rooms etc, roundabout. 'April 21.... we didn't actually touch the Logan Rock, though we identified it and had the joy of seeing an enthusiastic man pull a florid and rather unwilling wife up the crags. We saunter on by the coastguard path into Penberth Fishing Cover, where tea is taken with Mrs Jeffries.... we walked home by one of the divinest of all walks.... a footpath straight on to Bottoms.... through Trengothal and Brew on to Sennen.... We drop down to our Cove after another perfect day.... the bay is littered (bad word) with fishing craft.... April 22. After breakfast we go down to the Cove and inspect the catch - congers in large numbers, cod, pollock, turbot, plaice etc. Today the lobster pots are being set, and we have expectations. I must see Alfred George..... go for the day to Gamper. After finding a way down we explore, and find two waterfalls over the cliff - 100 ft., and one very pretty fern cave....'
