Parkland coloured dark green, raods in buff. Scale bar, title in a roundel, shaded in pink wash, pink border. Central fold. Vellum, size 17" x 25", written in a large clear hand. Fine large oval wax seal of the Trustees. 1822. £36.00
    Description of the property gives measurements in feet and occupiers of adjacent properties.

Fully hand-coloured lithographed plan, folding, dissected and mounted on linen, size approx. 29" x 40«", scale 4«" to 600 yards, folding into the original cloth covers, but lacking the top board.     A very detailed map showing the area from Birkenhead Pier to Flaybrick Hill, and Chatsworth Park to Seacombe. Names owners of some of the land, shows each house, or building, and each plot, parkland, trees, and names most of the roads.

  11. Mottram COUNTERPART of James Bretland's Lease from Alexander Hollinworth of a piece of land in Hollingworth in the parish of Mottram called the 'Rough Hollinsay', measuring 'three roods by the Cheshire measure. Large vellum sheet, slightly browned, good armorial wax seal. 1754. £18.00

  13. Peak Forest Canal LETTER OF ATTORNEY The Company of Proprietors of the Peak Forest Canal to Messrs. David Browne & Maurice Jones, to surrender certain copyhold land in Yeardsley Whaley in the County of Chester. 3p., sm. folio, signed next to fine large papered seal of the Company, 2" diameter.. together with.... Letter of Attorney, to receive Admission to certain land in Yeardsley-Whalley, Francis Jodrell to David Browne, 1p., sm. folio... with... three draft copies of printed document of Admission to Manor and Forest of Macclesfield, manuscript insertions in an untidy hand with many amendments (referring to the above mentioned piece of land.) 1806. £20.00
    The small piece of land concerned had lately been used by the Canal Proprietors 'for part of a wharf or quay at the termination of the branch or cut from and out of the Peak Forest Canal to Whaley Bridge'.

  16. Swire (W) and Hutchings (W.F) A MAP OF THE COUNTY PALATINE OF CHESHIRE Divided into Hundreds and Parishes, From an Actual Survey Made in the Years 1828 and 1829 by W. Swire and W.F. Hutchings, London. Engraved by J. Dower, Cumming Place, Pentonville, London. Engraved map, fully hand-coloured, size 38" x 52", dissected and mounted on linen, edges bound with green silk tape (missing from edge of one section). Scale three quarters of an inch to 1 mile. Large title, large vignette view of Chester Cathedral bottom right, Explanation bottom left, compass rose. Some brownish off-setting in area of title, a few foxing spots in Irish Sea area top left. Map folding to size 10" x 6", inserted in rubbed calf slipcase in the form of a book, calf chipped and worn, pieces of calf missing from spine, leather label with title chipped at edge. Major part of the surface of the marbled paper has been torn away on one of the endpapers. Published by Henry Teesdale & Co., 302 High Holborn, July 1st 1830. £700.00
