    * This children's story was written by Mary Elliott and published under her maiden name. The story "Founded on Fact." relates to a party travelling from London to Bath in 1808, where the mother intended to take the waters for her rheumatism.

    * A glimpse of the life of an extraordinary man who Dave Chapple met 3 years before he died when Keith was 98 years old. He was a communist who fought against Franco in Spain, and signed up for the army in the second world war. After being demobbed he became a formidable campaigner for left wing causes, living at first in London, then moving to Devon and eventually to Taunton where he worked in Musgrove Park Hospital from 1955 until his retirement.

Lethbridge, Bart., seconded by Andrew Crosse, Esq., Mr Escott was proposed by Sir Alex Hood Bart., seconded by H. Powell Collins, Esq. The Polling took place at Taunton, Ilchester, Bridgwater and Williton on the 16th & 17th January 1835. The Declaration of the Poll by the High Sheriff was at Taunton on the 19th January.' On the front end paper is a label with a manuscript note:- 'Lord Wharton, Halswell Park, Bridgwater, Somersetshire.'
